Trying something different this year, the Alabama Chapter of HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association) is hosting their summer conference on the beach in Destin, Florida. In keeping with this year’s theme, “Anchored in Healthcare,” the organization will provide stellar educational sessions addressing today’s hottest topics in healthcare finance as well as unique networking opportunities. The installation of a new slate of officers will take place followed by entertainment from the Super Funk Fantasy Band.
Attendees will participate in Beach Olympics, and the teams are forming now. Hollis Cobb will provide refreshments on the beach for all athletes, both serious competitors and those just having fun. Following the Beach Olympics, the winning teams will be recognized with prizes. Other organized beach activities will include sand crab hunting, s’mores on the beach and a fireworks show. All attendees will receive commemorative t-shirts listing Hollis Cobb and other conference sponsors.
Members and non-members alike have the opportunity to earn a total of 11.5 continuing education credits, 2 of which qualify for Accounting and Auditing (A&A) credit. The conference presents an excellent opportunity for providers and their business partners to dive in and find out the latest news and developments on trends and topics in the world of healthcare finance, provided by national and regional experts in the industry.
