The Annual WellStar Foundation Golf Classic is just around the corner on August 26 at the Marietta Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia. An event that consistently sells out year after year, the golf classic has raised over $1.2 million which has gone toward advancing local healthcare services provided by WellStar facilities. Hollis Cobb is happy to help sponsor this event and participate along with other corporate and community supporters as well as leaders from the WellStar System.

Proceeds from this year’s Golf Classic are earmarked for equipment for the WellStar emergency and trauma departments. Healthcare leadership has plans to purchase additional specialized medical technology and provide educational training and resources to assist in treating critically injured patients 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

gregServing as a Gold Sponsor again this year for the 4th Annual Emory Healthcare Golf Tournament, Hollis Cobb is proud to be one of the original sponsors of this event that benefits the American Heart Association. Set for September 16 at the historic East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta, Hollis Cobb leaders will again participate in this year’s tournament. All those working on and participating in the tournament are volunteers from Emory and their business partners; therefore 100% of the proceeds raised from the golf tournament will benefit the American Heart Association.

Emory is a nationally ranked healthcare system in cardiology as well as other specialties. The world renowned Emory Transplant Center daily performs heart transplants as well as liver, lung and kidney. The Emory Heart and Vascular Center is consistently recognized as one of the top heart health centers in the nation. As part of an academic health center, many Emory cardiologists are faculty members at the Emory University School of Medicine. The cardiology team is able to use knowledge gained through scientific research to develop new therapies, devices and protocols that impact the many heart patients seeking treatment at Emory facilities. Naturally Emory would be a strong supporter of the American Heart Association as the organization advances research and development to serve heart patients all over the world.

Hollis Cobb golf enthusiasts will split up on September 23 with half playing in the DeKalb Medical Foundation Memorial Golf Classic in Ballground, Georgia and the other half playing in the Baptist Memorial Cardiac Classic in Collierville, Tennessee. Hollis Cobb is pleased to sponsor both golf tournaments and support the event with players from the company’s management team.

The DeKalb Medical Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to help provide access to quality care in the community through health care initiatives offered at the Emory DeKalb facilities. This year’s 25th annual Memorial Golf Classic will be played at the scenic Hawks Ridge Golf Club in North Georgia. DeKalb Medical Centers are now part of the Emory Healthcare family, but still maintain their fundraising foundation supported by physicians, community leaders and business partners.community-support

The Annual Cardiac Classic sponsored by the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation will be played on the lush greens at Spring Creek Ranch. The golf tournament is one of the fundraising initiatives sponsored by the foundation to help establish new projects for the benefit of patients in the community. Baptist Memorial hospitals are spread out over a three-state area, and the upcoming golf classic will raise funds for mechanical heart devices, staff education and other life-saving equipment and technology designed to deliver the highest quality care to heart patients in need.

Hollis Cobb is a dedicated business partner and always happy to support our valued clients as they endeavor to make greater strides in the type and quality of care they provide for the patients in their communities.
