Four determined and adventurous women from the Accounts Resolution Department (ARD) at Hollis Cobb Associates finished the Dirty Girl Mud Run recently when the national event came to Atlanta. The 5K, or 3.1 mile, run partners with the national charity, BrightPink, which focuses on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer, while providing support to women who are at high risk for the diseases.

Hollis Cobb ARD staffers Elsa Dugan, Danielle Kulik, Cynthia Corchado and Ebteam hocuttoni Starling were covered in mud from head to toe when they finished the 14 obstacle run which involved, not only running, but climbing, crawling, jumping and a lot of laughing. The non-profit Dirty Girl Mud Run takes place in cities all over the U.S., and is the world’s largest women only mud run. The four from Hollis Cobb completed the obstacle course at the Atlanta Motor Speedway sporting “Team Hocutt” t-shirts, named for Greg Hocutt, Hollis Cobb CEO.

Elsa noted that she did the mud run in honor of her mom adding that, besides being a lot of fun, “it is a great way to get fit for an awesome cause.” “Some of the obstacles were difficult,” Eboni said, “but all in all, it was awesome.”

All four ladies have signed up to participate this weekend in the Color Fun Fest run at Turner Field, in Atlanta. Organized to benefit the Just Care Foundation, the 5K run is unique in that participants are showered with color the farther they progress along the run. All proceeds from the run go to the Just Care Foundation which is a non-profit organization that provides underprivileged children with a summer camp experience. The Hollis Cobb “runners” are working to get others in the company involved in similar events to both support worthy causes, and promote health and fitness.  More information on the Color Fun Fest in Atlanta can be found at http://colorfunfest5k.com/atlanta/

Elsa, Danielle, Cynthia and Eboni encourage everyone to get involved, get fit and help others.
