As Hollis Cobb has continued to expand services and grow our clientele, the leadership has searched for professionals with the skill and expertise to manage, encourage and motivate our collection teams while providing the best possible service to our clients. A year ago, Hollis Cobb executives recruited John Campbell to fill the role of Director of Operations for Bad Debt and Commercial portfolios. He manages 90 collectors in both the healthcare collections area and commercial as well. Along with his 15 years of experience managing bad debt business for healthcare systems, John has experience managing collection accounts in the banking, mortgage, credit card, auto and commercial industries in both first and third party applications.
John was originally encouraged to get into the collection business by a friend who thought he might be a good fit. As it turned out, his friend was right as over the next 15 years John advanced steadily through management positions to eventually land at Hollis Cobb as an Operations Director in the area of bad debt and commercial collections. He has been a tremendous asset to the organization, and the staff has benefitted greatly from his talent and leadership.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, John moved to Atlanta a year ago to join the team at Hollis Cobb. He said he enjoys the challenge of managing the diverse portfolios of the clients assigned to his area, and ensuring that each one receives the customized service that is Hollis Cobb’s trademark. John went on to say that he particularly enjoys working with his staff and others at the company. Although Hollis Cobb has experienced tremendous growth in the last five years, the family atmosphere still remains.
When not leading his team at the corporate office in Atlanta, John spends time fixing up the house he bought when he moved to Georgia, working on his cars and staying healthy by working out at a local gym. The management and staff at Hollis Cobb look forward to many more years of John’s leadership guiding his staff and providing superior service to our clients.
