Candace Hubbard came to Hollis Cobb three years ago when another Hollis Cobb employee, knowing her work ethic and positive attitude, recommended her to the HR Department. Recently promoted to Training Specialist, Candace serves the Training Department in a number of ways by onboarding new hires and providing training in the areas of compliance, software and insurance processes. She is also charged with creating and updating training materials as well as procedures and documentation for the department.

She started out at Hollis Cobb handling quality assurance for one of our Florida healthcare clients, and moved on from there to oversee the Quality Assurance Team in our offshore Nicaragua office. From there she moved on to a Project Manager position over the credit balance staff working for one of our Pennsylvania healthcare clients. Her hard work and dedication resulted in her promotion to her current position of Training Specialist.

“I just love the people at Hollis Cobb,” Candace said, “and I love making an impact in people’s lives every day. I find joy in motivating them.” The most challenging aspect of her job, Candace noted, is remaining patient when the training needs to slow down to ensure all new hires in her class thoroughly understand all processes. Never one to remain stagnant, Candace explained, “I truly would like to continue to grow the training department by upgrading and adding to our structure,” noting that “I want to find new ways to keep people engaged while learning.”

Candace holds an Associates’ Degree in Business Management, a Medical Assistant Certification and her CPAR designation (Certified Patient Accounts Representative) through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Prior to joining Hollis Cobb, Candace worked in the healthcare field for 13 years gaining experience in billing, coding, office management and hospital project management. She has worked in various specialties including infectious diseases, pediatric neurology and ophthalmology surgery, and she has both hospital and physician experience in seven states.

Originally from Chicago, Candace has been in Georgia for over 20 years. “It’s safe to say I’m a Georgia peach,” she commented. Candace is a football mom who also enjoys cooking, loves chocolate and coffee and hosting weekly family dinners. She volunteers feeding the homeless in the City of Atlanta when not spending time with her family or working. Candace’s easy smile brightens everyone’s day at Hollis Cobb, and the whole staff looks forward to more great things from this enthusiastic member of our team.
