Hollis Cobb, a long-time Gold Sponsor of the Georgia HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association), was proud to support this year’s virtual conference. Historically a live event in Savannah, Georgia, this year’s conference included a series of educational webinars and a socially distanced networking event at Ponce City Roof Top in Atlanta.

Georgia HFMA partnered with the South Carolina chapter to put together an extremely successful joint effort. The top-notch slate of speakers covered hot topics, including a legislative update, a technology panel, a CARES/FEMA update, payments and denials, price transparency, a CFO panel, and a revenue cycle panel discussion. Early risers had the opportunity to participate in a virtual boot camp and a prayer breakfast. Golf enthusiasts were able to participate in a golf tournament that was both live and virtual.

The event’s highlight was a live Leadership Huddle with Coach Mark Richt, former head football coach for the University of Georgia Bulldogs. After spending 15 years at UGA, Richt spent three years coaching at his alma mater, the University of Miami, before retiring in 2018. Coach Richt served as a keynote speaker and signed footballs for attendees.

Hollis Cobb served as a sponsor of the Leadership Huddle, sending Key Client Executive, Afsha Carter, to the event to host some of our clients from Piedmont Healthcare, WellStar Health, and Northside Hospital. The evening networking event was capped off by a silent auction, in which all attendees had the opportunity to bid on items donated by Georgia HFMA business partners. Hollis Cobb was pleased to donate a gift certificate for a driving experience at the Porsche track in Atlanta.

Other upcoming HFMA events for which Hollis Cobb will serve as a sponsor include a Zoom Happy Hour on December 10 and a Customer Service webinar on December 16, both for the Florida Chapter.
