Always a festive time at Hollis Cobb, the month of December will be packed with exciting activities for the entire staff this holiday season. Last year was our first year in our current location, and we put up a large tree in our lobby for everyone to enjoy. Each employee who chose to participate brought a special ornament to adorn the tree. This year, that tradition will continue as employees begin bringing their ornaments next week.
The Holiday Season is a time for giving, and this year the Hollis Cobb team will once again take part in the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Toy Drive. The toys are for patients ages birth to 21 who will be spending the holidays in the hospital. CHOA has provided a list of safe and acceptable gifts for patients according to age, and the Hollis Cobb team is coordinating to purchase and donate gifts both from the company and from individual employees.
Throughout the month, our staff will enjoy Music Mondays and Film Day Fridays. Every Monday holiday music will be piped into the company breakroom, and on Fridays, holiday films will be shown on the breakroom televisions all day. Music Mondays and Film Day Fridays were kicked off last year and were a big hit with the entire staff.
Hollis Cobb employees look forward each year to the annual Ugly Sweater Contest and the Team Decoration Contest, and this year is no exception. Each employee who wishes to participate will find and wear the ugliest, tackiest holiday sweater possible. Judging is set for December 20 when all contestants will wear their sweaters. Each Hollis Cobb team, from Access to Early Out to Insurance to Bad Debt, will decide on a theme and decorate their work spaces. The employees always attack the activity with enthusiasm and vigor. The Team Decoration contest will also be judged on December 20 at the end of the day.
The pinnacle of this festive season at Hollis Cobb is the annual Holiday Lunch. Professionally catered and set for December 21, our clients are also invited to visit the office and enjoy lunch and other festivities with the Hollis Cobb team. Clients can visit our call center to see how each team decorated their areas – especially the winner. We encourage all of our clients to take a break from their hectic schedules to enjoy a little time of food and fun at our Duluth office on the 21st!
