The staff and leadership of Hollis Cobb is excited about the addition of Pedro Martinez to the leadership team as Senior Director of Operations. After almost two years managing the Operations Team in our Mississippi location, Pedro has transitioned to the corporate office in Duluth, Georgia.

pedro-picDuring his 18 years in the Accounts Receivable Management industry, Pedro has acquired vast experience in a variety of areas that will help Hollis Cobb continue to exceed client expectations. In addition to healthcare revenue cycle management, he has worked as a tax accountant and as a collector for bank and retail cards, demand deposit accounts, auto and mortgage deficiencies and credit union paper. He also has experience setting up outsource networks and doing accounts receivable consulting work. Along with call center operations, customer service and support, collection management, inventory management, process improvement and training, Pedro brings to the table expertise in quality assurance and compliance, vendor management, budgeting and cost control, strategic analysis, and new business development.

Pedro holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas – San Antonio, and is FDCPA and HIPAA certified through ACA International (American Collectors Association). In his new role at Hollis Cobb, Pedro is responsible for oversight of the collection management team across multiple sites ensuring company policies and procedures are followed at all times. He is charged with making sure all staff adhere to federal, state and local mandates as well as individual client requirements. Pedro is involved in all areas of accounts receivable work at Hollis Cobb including Customer Service/Early Out, Self-Pay/Bad Debt, Insurance Billing and Follow-up and Legal recovery.

Pedro explained that he got started in the accounts receivable management industry when he applied for an accounting job at a bank and ended up in the legal collections department. “The rest is history,” he said. Pedro says that working with people is both the best and the most challenging parts of his job. He is in the process of relocating to the Atlanta area from Mississippi. A veteran of the United States Navy, Pedro is father to two adult children, a 22-year-old son who is a junior at Texas State University and a 20-year-old who is a sophomore at Liberty University. The entire staff at Hollis Cobb looks forward to continued success and innovation with Pedro’s leadership.
