Hollis Cobb Manager, Pam Nexon, manages the onsite employees who represent the company working at client sites. She spends a great deal of her time at a large health system in Atlanta where she manages 26 Hollis Cobb staff who take customer service calls, handle pre-registration and collections, do scheduling and work as quality analysts.

Pam is able to wear so many hats, because she has done everything in the revenue cycle at some point in her career. In addition to managing the Atlanta onsite staff, she oversees other Hollis Cobb onsite employees at healthcare facilities throughout the Southeast.

wearing-many-hatsWith 20+ years’ experience in the healthcare financial services industry, Pam has held management roles in self-pay AR collections, bad debt collections, insurance follow-up, customer service, client services, training and compliance. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma green belt and also has her CPAR and Advanced CPAR designations through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Pam is a vital resource for both clients and the Hollis Cobb team. When staffing onsites for clients, Pam assists the Human Resources Department with reviewing applications, screening and interviewing applicants and identifying promising candidates for our clients to interview. Once clients select the candidates to fill their onsite positions, Pam works with both Hollis Cobb and client training staff to get the new onsites ready to work with patients. Pam is proficient on a wide range of client systems, and is always available for new staff who need support and encouragement.

The onsite staffing Hollis Cobb provides has enabled clients to reassign existing staff to other areas in the revenue cycle. This service is particularly helpful for clients who are not able to hire additional FTE due to budget constraints. It has also helped clients enhance the patient experience by ensuring they have adequate staff to interact with patients. Our onsites have helped reduce wait times on phone calls in the customer service area, and have helped improve the time frames in which patients are pre-registered and scheduled for services.

The Hollis Cobb leadership is pleased to have Pam, with all of her diverse experience and management strengths. She has helped the company maintain a well-trained, highly skilled staff of onsite employees at client locations. Pam said she enjoys the variety of responsibilities her job entails as well as the many people she has come to know. Both Hollis Cobb staff and clients respect Pam’s non-wavering dedication and commitment to her job, and enjoy working with her as they all face new challenges each day.
